Memorials and Tribute Gifts
Memorial and tribute gifts offer you a wonderful way to remember family and friends who hold a special place in your life. Saint Mary's offers several tribute opportunities. Any gift can be made in honor of or in memory of a loved one. Tribute gifts also provide a meaningful way to celebrate special occasions and anniversaries.
Memorial Tree Program
The Memorial Tree Program was founded by the alumnae to beautify the "barren grounds" surrounding Le Mans. Planting a memorial tree continues today as a loving remembrance and living memorial for the deceased members of the Saint Mary's family. A plaque is displayed on each tree with a memorial inscription as well as the name of the species. Trees can be planted in a number of campus settings. Site and species selection are conducted in consultation with the donor,
the family, and the College. Cost is $500.
Teakwood Bench
Both useful and graceful, teak benches are built to endure and provide perpetual tributes for members of the Saint Mary's family. A plaque for a personalized inscription is included for display on each bench. Like the memorial trees, the teak benches are suitable for placement in a variety of campus settings. Site selection is conducted in consultation with the donor, the family, and the College. Cost is $2500.
