Home Again The tables were barely cleared from one Reunion before they were redecorated for a second one. Two back-to-back weekends of Reunion festivities in June brought together hundreds of alumnae to celebrate each other and Saint Mary’s. Upon Reflection As I look at this issue of Courier, I am struck by the overwhelming number of happy photographs from our two commencements and two reunions. Members of the Class of 2022 are captured enjoying all the expected pomp and circumstance connected to their Commencement. Vienna Waits for You In her July email, President Conboy takes a new look at an old song, and is reminded that it's ok for all of us to take a moment to catch our breath. Announcing New Vice President for Mission President Katie Conboy, Ph.D. is pleased to announce that Julianne Wallace, D.Min., will join her leadership team on August 1 as Vice President for Mission. Wallace comes to Saint Mary’s from the Congregation of Holy Cross-US Province of Priests and Brothers in Notre Dame, Ind., where she has served as Director of Apostolic Mission and Charism since 2021. The Summer Camp Legacy It is common for our summer campers to eventually become students at Saint Mary’s College. Some, however, do not stop there. A number of our former campers have continued on to become counselors, night time supervisors, instructors, assistant directors, and directors of Fine Arts Camp. A New Era in the Field of Humanities Saint Mary’s College will soon launch a new academic program that combines coursework from the humanities, art, computer science, business, communication studies, environmental science, and others. The 15-credit program, the Digital and Public Humanities minor, begins in the fall 2022. A New Nursing Program at Saint Mary's College Earlier this year, the Indiana State Board of Nursing approved the College’s application to offer a direct entry Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), a relatively new pathway with only 62 programs currently being offered in the United States. Saint Mary’s is the first in Indiana to offer such a direct-entry graduate program for nurses, allowing current undergraduates to continue their studies and graduate with an RN-MSN. Board of Trustees Elects New Members 2022 On June 15, Saint Mary’s College will welcome five new members on the Board of Trustees to campus for the 2022 summer meeting.
