SMC Music majors pursue a variety of careers, both in and outside of Music. 

•    Our Music Education majors have a 100% job placement in public, private, and parochial schools throughout the country and abroad
•    Some students go on to prestigious graduate schools in Music Performance, Musicology, Ethnomusicology, Music Theory, Music Education, and Music Therapy, becoming professional performers and college professors
•    Others have gone on to Law and Medical Schools
•    Some work in the field of Church Music, both full- and part-time, and the field of Arts Administration
•    Many BA Music majors pursue jobs in their second major. Recent students hold jobs in Physical Therapy, Zoo-Keeping, Plastic Surgery, Financial Planning, Marketing and Web Design, and Engineering, to name a few.
