NCATE last visited Saint Mary’s College December 5?8, 2010. At its April 17­?19, 2011 meeting, the Unit Accreditation Board for the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) considered the continuing accreditation of the Education Department at Saint Mary’s College. The UAB decided to continue accreditation for two years at the initial teacher preparation level. Saint Mary’s College is scheduled for a Focus visit regarding Standard 2 October 7­?9, 2012.
