FREELAND, Mich. - Saint Mary's sophomore Morgan VanderWey garnered Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Volleyball Specialist of the Week honors on September 17.
A setter from Tinley Park, Illinois, she tallied 176 assists in five sets as the Belles went 4-1 on the week and won the Manchester University Invitational. In a sweep of Wilmington, she had a .636 attack percentage with seven kills and no errors on eleven attempts. She posted a .333 attack percentage on the week and had at least 25 assists in each of the team's matches. VanderWey was named to the all-tournament team at Manchester over the weekend.
The MIAA Specialist of the Week honor is the first of her career.
