FREELAND, Mich. - Saint Mary's senior Audrey Shannon was selected as a Second Team All-Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) honoree by the league volleyball coaches on Friday.
Shannon, a team co-captain from New Albany, Indiana, led the MIAA in digs per set in 2018 with a record-breaking 6.63 digs per set, surpassing the previous mark of 5.73. The Belles' starting libero in every match, she had a league-high 199 digs in eight contests this fall. Shannon registered at least 20 digs in each of the Belles' conference competitions.
It is the second All-MIAA honor of her career as Shannon was also a Second Team honoree in 2017.
