Gibbons Earns MIAA Player of the Week Honor

FREELAND, Mich. - Meaghan Gibbons, a senior outside hitter on the Saint Mary's volleyball team, was named as the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Volleyball Player of the Week on Monday, October 24.

A native of Dallas, Texas, Gibbons averaged 3.89 kills per set and 4.67 digs per set as the Belles went 2-1 in conference play last week. She led the team with 35 kills and seven service aces while collecting 42 digs and a pair of blocks. She registered a double-double in kills and digs in each of the team's three matches on the week.

It is the first MIAA Player of the Week honor of her career.
