Belles End Season with MIAA Tournament Loss

• Maddie Minaudo and Elizabeth Preister fought tough but lost by a narrow 9-7 score at three doubles.
• The Belles end their season 11-13 overall.
• It was the fourth consecutive MIAA Tournament appearance for Saint Mary's.

HOLLAND, Mich. - The Saint Mary's tennis team saw their season come to a close with a 5-0 loss against top-seeded and No. 21 nationally-ranked Hope on Thursday.

Meaghan Flynn and Kaity Venters fell by an 8-1 margin at two doubles, and Sam Setterblad and Monica Davy had an 8-1 setback at their one doubles competition. Maddie Minaudo and Elizabeth Preister fought tough but lost by a narrow 9-7 score at three doubles.

Setterblad had a 6-0, 6-1 setback at three doubles. Kelsey Kopf was on the short side of a 6-1, 6-0 match at two singles as the match was stopped at the point of decision once the Flying Dutch took the fifth overall point.

The Belles end their season 11-13 overall and had earned their fourth-consecutive MIAA Tournament appearance.
