OCSE Volunteer Vehicles
Need Transportation? We can help. We have cars available for student use -- but you must register at least three days in advance. Stop by or call the office (extension 5368) and we will have you fill out a driver's application form (be sure to bring your driver's license) and will put you on the schedule. Cars are for transportation to non-profit agencies only. We also have information about how to use the Transpo system in town to get you where you need to be -- and it's free!
Car Use Policy
- All individuals using an OCSE car must register in advance (at LEAST 3 DAYS) and must be checked by the Division of Motor Vehicles. Plan ahead!!
- Cell phone use while driving is prohibited. If you need to make a call, pull over, stop the car and make the call.
Clean up after yourself. Remove all garbage from the car when you are done with it. - If you get lost, contact Olivia or Carrie, call Olivia at either 574-284-4265 (office) OR 574-806-1368 (cell) or call Carrie at 574-229-0684.
- If you hit something or something hits you, call Carrie or Olivia immediately. Carrie's cell phone # is 574-229-0684 and Olivia's cell phone # is 574-806-1368. If you are in a collision with another car and there is damage to either vehicle, you MUST call Carrie and call the police. The number for the South Bend Police is 574-235-9201. IF they decline to send an officer, you must provide contact information to the other driver. Tell them to contact Carrie Call at 284-5368.
Only registered drivers are allowed to drive the cars. You also may not take any passengers with you who are not related to service work for the college. - The vehicles are for service use only. They cannot be used for personal activities.
