LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Saint Mary's softball team had ten varsity letter-winning student-athletes earn National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-America Scholar-Athlete honors for the 2016-17 academic year. The group was among a record-breaking total of 7,351 softball student-athletes across seven divisions to be named All-America Scholar-Athletes by the coaching association.
Jill Ackermann, Alison Alberts, Makenzie Duncan, Mary Green, Alyssa Gutierrez, Krystal Harris, Kelsey Keilman, Megan Knudsen, Caitlyn Migawa, and Kelsey Richards were recognized by the NFCA with the honor after maintaining a 3.50 grade point average or above for the academic year. The group marks the largest number of Saint Mary's softball players to earn the distinction in the same year.
