Stackhouse Garners Second Team All-MIAA Honor

FREELAND, Mich. - Saint Mary's soccer player Rose Stackhouse was one of just two freshmen to be named to the 2018 Women's Soccer All-Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) list.

Stackhouse, a native of St. Charles, Illinois, started in each of the team's eight MIAA contests this fall and logged over 680 minutes of playing time. She led the team in points and goals in league contests. In a 3-1 win over Alma this season, Stackhouse assisted the first goal and scored the game winner as the Belles earned their first MIAA victory since the 2015 season. Her shots on goal percentage was the second-highest among all players in the conference who averaged at least two shots per contest this fall.

Stackhouse led the Belles in her freshman campaign with 12 goals and 28 points on the season while adding four assists.

She becomes the 18th Saint Mary's soccer player all-time to earn All-MIAA recognition. Additionally, she is the sixth Belle in program history to garner All-MIAA honors in her freshman season.
