Constitution Day to be Celebrated January 2, 2011 Constitution Day commemorates September 17, 1787, the day that the Constitutional Convention completed its work on the United States Constitution. Each year around September 17, Saint Mary’s College hosts a lecture and panel discussion reflecting on the history and ideals of that landmark document. This year, the College marks the occasion with a panel presentation, titled "Constitutional Tensions: Negotiating Consensus and Controversy in the 21st Century."

Madrigal Dinners to Ring in Holiday Season for 39th Year January 2, 2011 The Saint Mary’s College Department of Music is proud to present its 39th annual Madrigal Dinners, a Renaissance-style holiday feast and performance. Wooden Toys on Display at the Library (WNDU-TV) January 2, 2011 The lobby of the Cushwa-Leighton Library at Saint Mary's College will soon look a bit like Santa’s workshop. The handcrafted wooden toy collection of South Bend toymaker George Efta will be on display from December 6 through January 31. The exhibit is simply called “Toys”. Librarian and exhibit curator Robert Hohl is interviewed.

Lessons and Carols January 2, 2011 Each December, Campus Ministry and Department of Music combine to present an interdenominational service of music, scripture, and candlelight to a capacity crowd in the Church of Our Lady of Loretto. Central to the ritual, which is based on the Anglican Christmas Eve service, is the assembly’s singing of traditional Advent and Christmas carols. The Saint Mary’s Women’s Choir, the Collegiate Choir, the Loretto Choir, and Moreau Chamber Ensemble participate.
This year's Lessons and Carols will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 11, 2011. The public is invited to attend.
