But organizers of “One Day without Shoes” at Saint Mary's College say that just helps make their point. “One Day without Shoes” is a worldwide effort to spread awareness of the impact a pair of shoes can have on a child’s life by taking off our own. The party honored cancer survivors and current cancer patients, many of whom have missed big events in their lives, like prom, due to treatment.
