Students to Perform “Gossamer,” by Lois Lowry
The Saint Mary’s College Theatre Program is proud to present the play “Gossamer” by novelist and Newberry Medal recipient Lois Lowry, February 26 to March 1. A cast of 17 Saint Mary’s students will bring to life the story of magical beings that create dreams. In the play, the “Littlest” Dream-Giver struggles to heal the heart and haunted memory of a young boy named John. Littlest, who is full of love, empathy, and perception, has a delicate or gossamer touch in the giving of dreams.

Belles Outlast Thunder in Five Sets
NOTRE DAME, Ind. - Katie Hecklinski put down a career-high 25 kills and the Saint Mary's volleyball team came back to defeat MIAA rival Trine, 3-2 (25-22, 21-25, 24-26, 25-19, 15-9) on Saturday.

Social Work Majors Serve Community (South Bend Tribune)
As seniors, social work majors spend each semester completing a field placement assignment, also known as a practicum, or a practical course of study. When the students are in their junior year, Leonard Sanchez, the Saint Mary’s field practicum coordinator, reviews the students’ specific interests and skills and interviews them. He then matches them to locations, such as schools, hospitals and nursing homes, where they work about 16 hours per week. Saint Mary's Hosts 10th Annual Diverse Students' Leadership Conference...
The Saint Mary’s Student Diversity Board (SDB) celebrated its 10th annual Diverse Student Leadership Conference (DSLC) Monday with workshops, keynote speakers and panel discussions. SDB secretary Angela Bukur '16 said the speakers and workshop presenters offer powerful and insightful advice to women in leadership. “We are so fortunate to have them on campus to share their stories with us and open up conversations about topics that need to be changed within the world,” Bukur told The Observer.

Belles Squad Earns Academic Distinction
LEXINGTON, Ky. - The Saint Mary's volleyball team posted a 3.549 cumulative grade point average to earn the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) 2014-15 Team Academic Award.

Belles Finish Fifteenth at Jekyll Island
JEKYLL ISLAND, Ga. - The Saint Mary's golf team finished in fifteenth place at the Jekyll Island Collegiate Invitational. The Belles shot their lowest round of the tournament on Sunday with a 340 to finish with a three-day score of 1042.

Belles Narrowly Miss Top Four Finish at MIAA Jamboree
HOLLAND, Mich. - A difference of four points separated the Saint Mary's cross country team and Albion for fourth place at the MIAA Jamboree at the West Ottawa Golf Club.
