China Night to Celebrate Chinese New Year
Saint Mary’s College will hold “China Night” Sunday, February 7 from 3 to 5 p.m. in Little Theater, Moreau Center for the Arts. A reception will take place at 5 p.m. outside O’Laughlin Auditorium. The event celebrates the Chinese New Year with a show of folk dances, traditional songs, instruments, Asian fashion show, and lottery drawing games. Children and students attending will receive a red envelope as a New Year gift, which is a Chinese festival tradition.

Higher Learning Commission Reconfirms College's Accreditation
Saint Mary’s College is pleased to announce that the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association continued (reconfirmed) the College’s accredited status. The College received word from the HLC in a letter dated February 12, 2016. In the fall of 2015, an HLC team came to campus and reviewed the College’s ongoing ability to meet the Commission’s Criteria for Accreditation.

Belles Fall in Heartbreaker to Comets
NOTRE DAME, Ind. - Eight turnovers over the final ten minutes of play were a difference maker as the Saint Mary's basketball team was stopped short in a 52-49 conference contest against Olivet on Saturday afternoon.

"Sisters of Selma" Screening and Panel Discussion
Saint Mary’s College will host a screening of the PBS documentary “Sisters of Selma: Bearing Witness for Change” followed by a panel discussion with the filmmakers. This event will take place on Tuesday, February 23 at 7 p.m. in Carroll Auditorium of Madeleva Hall. The event is free and open to the public.

Fourth-Quarter Comeback Falls Short for Belles Against Brits
NOTRE DAME, Ind. - The Belles opened up the fourth period on a 10-0 run to pull within three points of visiting Albion, but the comeback was not to be as the Saint Mary's basketball team fell by a 62-54 final on Wednesday night.

Belles Outshot by Fourth-Ranked Flying Dutch
NOTRE DAME, Ind. - Host Saint Mary's took just six fewer shots in the game while nearly making more free throws (12) than Hope attempted (13), but the fourth-ranked Flying Dutch used a 53.6 percent shooting performance while limiting the Belles to a 31.7 percent effort to claim a 93-53 decision on Wednesday night.
