Belles Earn IWLCA Zag Sports Academic Honor Squad Status
GRAND LAKE, Colo. - The Saint Mary's lacrosse team earned their third consecutive Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Zag Sports Academic Honor Squad recognition for their efforts in the classroom during the 2015-16 academic year.

Saint Mary’s Receives Its 1st Patent for Device, Invented with Notre...
July 26, 2016 (Notre Dame, Ind.) — The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has issued US Patent No. 9,354,181 to researchers at Saint Mary’s College and the University of Notre Dame who together developed user-friendly devices that detect low-quality pharmaceuticals. It is Saint Mary’s first patent and the first for two of the three professors. These unique Paper Analytical Devices (PADs) can detect multiple chemical components in a pill or capsule, including substitute drugs or “fillers” that may be added in place of an active ingredient.

President Jan Cervelli Announces Kara Kelly ’96 to Join Her as Spec...
July 6, 2016 (Notre Dame, Ind.) — Saint Mary’s College President Jan Cervelli announced today that Kara Pavlik Kelly ’96 will join Saint Mary’s College, on July 18, as Special Assistant to the President. Kelly most recently served as Director of Communications in the Office of South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg.

Saint Mary's to Host 'Embody'
July 6, 2016 (Notre Dame, Ind.)—Saint Mary’s College is proud to announce the first annual “Embody: Beauty, Justice, and Faith in Action,” a weeklong residential theology institute, will be held July 10-15 on campus. The institute is sponsored by the Lilly Endowment Inc.’s High School Youth Theology Institutes initiative, which seeks to encourage young people to explore theological traditions, ask questions about the moral dimensions of contemporary issues, and examine how their faith calls them to lives of service.

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. - Saint Mary's College golfers Katie Zielinski and Kelsey Conkright were two of nearly 830 women's collegiate golfers recognized by the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) with All-American Scholar honors for the 2015-16 academic year on Tuesday.

Saint Mary’s to Host Fifth Annual State Department Women’s Leaders...
June 17, 2016 (Notre Dame, Ind.)—Saint Mary’s College is proud to announce it will hold its fifth annual Global Women Leaders Institute, a U.S. Department of State Study of the U.S. Institute (SUSI). The College’s Center for Women’s Intercultural Leadership (CWIL) facilitates the SUSI, which this summer welcomes 20 undergraduate women from Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq, and Tunisia and includes eight Saint Mary’s students who will earn course credits. There are also four student program coordinators who assist CWIL staff.
