THRIVE: Engaging Women Conference to Be Held May 25
The Women’s Entrepreneurship Initiative (WEI) at Saint Mary’s College is proud to present the 2nd annual “THRIVE: Engaging Women Conference” from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 25 in the Student Center on campus. WEI, 1st Source Bank, Gibson Insurance, Michiana Life, Ignite Michiana and Force 5 sponsor this premier regional event for women. The event is part of the ongoing THRIVE series offered through WEI and 1st Source Bank.

Another SPARK Entrepreneurship Success Story (South Bend Tribune)
Jennifer Long knew how to run a daycare, but she enrolled in SPARK at Saint Mary's to learn how to run it as a business. Long got so much out of the entrepreneurship training program that she now has three daycares in just three years. It's an example of how the College's Women's Entrepreneurship Initiative can help South Bend women make their business ideas SPARK into something that creates jobs in Michiana.

Saint Mary’s Hosts State Department International Women’s Institut...
Saint Mary’s College is proud to announce that it will hold its fourth Global Women Leaders Institute, a U.S. Department of State Study of the U.S. Institute (SUSI). This summer’s SUSI welcomes 20 undergraduate women from Egypt, Tunisia, Iraq, and Jordan, plus six Saint Mary’s students. The Study of the U.S. Institute is part of a broader State Department initiative to promote a better understanding of the U.S. abroad and help develop future world leaders. The program allows undergraduate women from around the world to improve their leadership skills while learning about the United States.

Interviews for Annual SPARK Entrepreneurial Program, Monday, Aug. 31
The Saint Mary’s College Women’s Entrepreneurship Initiative (WEI) is proud to announce the annual session of the SPARK entrepreneurship training program. SPARK is intended to assist local under-resourced, high-potential female entrepreneurs and artists to “spark” or launch successful businesses. Candidates must apply in person at a mandatory 2-hour orientation and screening session at 6 to 9 p.m. on Monday, August 31 in classroom 134 of Spes Unica Hall. Applicants must be there by 6 p.m. to be considered. Twenty-eight people will be selected for the program.

"THRIVE" Conference Coming up Next Week (WSBT-TV)
The Women’s Entrepreneurship Initiative (WEI) at Saint Mary’s will present the “THRIVE: Women’s Leadership Engagement Day” next Wednesday, May 27 in the Student Center on the Saint Mary’s campus from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The interactive conference, co-sponsored by 1st Source Bank, Sassy Magazine and Ignite Michiana, will feature women leaders from throughout the region. Through workshops and speakers, conference promises to inspire the mind, body and spirit of women who attend.

WEI Hosts THRIVE Seminar on Brand Management
The Women’s Entrepreneurship Initiative (WEI) at Saint Mary’s College and 1st Source Bank will co-host a seminar in the ongoing THRIVE series on Thursday, September 25. The presentation topic is “Brand Management: Integrating Strategic Design to Build Equity in Your Business.”
