Swearing is no longer against the law in Pennsylvania. The American Civil Liberties Union, ACLU, won a free speech victory preventing state troopers there from ticketing people for using profanity. The ACLU argued that profanity and profane gestures are constitutionally protected speech. Is this a sign of the times? Is profanity now acceptable speech in our culture? Fox 28 interviewed communication studies professor Michael Kramer for this story.
