Saint Mary’s College and the Sisters of the Holy Cross to host 2017 Lessons and Carols

November 22, 2017 (Notre Dame, Ind.) — Saint Mary’s College and the Sisters of the Holy Cross present their annual Lessons and Carols at the Church of Our Lady of Loretto on Sunday, December 10 at 7 p.m. This event is open to the public and free of charge. Guests are encouraged to arrive early to ensure seats, as the church is expected to fill quickly. Click here for a map of the campus.

Each December the Sisters of the Holy Cross and Saint Mary’s College come together to commemorate the birth of Christ in an interdenominational service. This candlelight service presents traditional Christmas carols and scripture based on the Anglican Christmas Eve service. The carols are presented by the Saint Mary’s Women’s Choir, the Collegiate Choir, the Loretto Choir, the Liturgical Choir, and the Handbell Choir.

Lessons and Carols highlights the strong relationship between Saint Mary’s College and the Sisters, which was first formed in 1844 during the founding of the College.
