Saint Mary’s Launches The Bridge: A New Way to Connect

For Saint Mary’s College alumnae, staying connected just got easier. Introducing The Bridge, a new social and professional networking platform designed exclusively for the Saint Mary’s alumnae community.

Built to foster meaningful relationships, The Bridge is more than just a networking site—it is a space where Belles can support one another, find mentors, share career opportunities, and celebrate achievements. For recent graduates navigating their first job, or an alumna looking to give back, The Bridge is a direct connection to a powerful network of Saint Mary’s women.

“Saint Mary’s has always been about sisterhood, and The Bridge is an extension of that,” says Kara O’Leary ’89, Executive Director of Alumnae Relations and Advancement. “It’s a networking platform for every alumna, regardless of their stage in their personal and professional lives.”

According to O’Leary, there are many reasons an alumna might want to connect to classmates and other alumnae, not the least of which is sharing a deep connection with Saint Mary’s. “The Bridge features an extensive directory where you can connect with alumnae in the working world based on your region, job, field, etc. The platform will also feature a formal mentorship program which pairs students with alums who can support them through their college years and potentially match them to internship and career opportunities.” The mentorship program will launch in the Fall of 2025.

Through personalized profiles, job postings, discussion forums, and mentorship opportunities, The Bridge makes it simple to engage with fellow Belles. The platform is open to all Saint Mary’s alumnae, ensuring that everyone has access to the collective knowledge, experience, and support of the community.

For those who are not currently in the workforce, The Bridge can be a place for connection. Through an extensive alumnae directory, every alumna will be able to find and connect with fellow Belles regardless of their occupation, region, or class year. A calendar of events, up-to-date information on clubs and alumnae news—including Reunion—along with information about relevant affinity groups is also available. 

“The Bridge is an incredible resource,” says McKenna Schuster Brandt ’15. “There is truly something for all alumnae to engage with. I am so excited to see the growth in connection to the college, my classmates and other alumnae!”
