Katie Conboy honored as a Woman of the Year

On October 20, 2022 President Katie Conboy joined four extraordinary leaders in higher education at the YWCA of North Central Indiana annual Tribute event, as they were honored as Women of the Year. 

In selecting the night’s honorees, YWCA president Susan Tybon wrote “Of the six major colleges in the South Bend area, five are headed by women. We want to celebrate their accomplishments. These women are shining examples of higher learning while breaking down barriers in their field.”

“I just love the fact that empowering women and eliminating racism are the things that the YWCA has right at the top of their agenda. We’re all thinking about those things on our campuses as well. Partnering with community organizations to achieve those ends is something that is really important,” said President Conboy.

We congratulate President Conboy, President Barbara Bellefeuille of Bethel University, Chancellor Susan Elrod of IU South Bend, Chancellor Tia Robinson-Cooper of Ivy Tech and President Rebecca Stolzfus of Goshen College for this well-deserved honor.
