Sister M. Alma Peter, CSC
(- March 7, 2008)
Please, join in prayer of thanksgiving for this Sister of the Holy Cross who died on March 7, 2008.
Sister Alma was never idle either in her professional or personal life. She was a “striver,” to coin a word that describes Sister Alma’s unceasing efforts to do more and be better in every aspect of her life. She planned everything to the last detail and was impatient with herself if her plan did not always work to perfection.
Being a truly dedicated religious, she accepted every new assignment, and there were many, with a willingness and zeal that earned her many honors and a wealth of friends both in and out of the Congregation.
Sister Alma loved to travel and took advantage of the opportunities her educational ministry gave her. She thoroughly enjoyed her years as director of the Saint Mary’s College Rome program and also the Ireland program, which she researched and initiated. She now sees the world from a more global and wonderful perspective.
Funeral arrangements for Sister Alma are as follows: Reception of the body at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 11, 2008, with the funeral Mass and eulogy at 1:30 p.m. on the same day. May Sister Alma rest in peace.
