FREELAND, Mich. - Saint Mary's freshman midfielder Erin Doyle was named Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Offensive Player of the Week for games played during March 5-11.
Doyle established a new school record for goals and points in a single game in her first collegiate game with eight goals and nine points in a 20-12 win over Elmhurst last Tuesday. Yesterday, she matched her own school record with eight goals while setting a new program record for points in a game with 11 after adding three assists in the team's 21-3 victory against Puget Sound.
The MIAA Offensive Player of the Week honor is the first of her career. Doyle is the fourth different student-athlete to earn MIAA Offensive Player of the Week accolades for the Belles Lacrosse program.
