The Huisking Instructional Technology Resource Center (ITRC)

Staffed by professionals as well as students, the Huisking Center or ITRC provides a place for faculty, staff, and students to receive assistance with instructional technology. Whether your question concerns using Blackboard, using the Kaltura Virtual Classroom, recording and sharing a video with Kaltura, using the lightboard or a document camera, or designing online or hybrid courses, we are available to help. ITRC can also loan selected items, such as portable media projectors for conferences, conference webcams, and mini doc cams.

The Huisking Center staff also provide support for creating accessible course content, including accessible Word documents, PowerPoint files, and PDF files, as well as guidance for editing machine-generated captions for videos to ensure their accuracy.

We offer support in person and virtually to individuals as well as departments. Ourhighest priority is to ensure that faculty and students not only have access to instructional technology but also know how to use it effectively.

The Huisking ITRC is part of Information Technology at Saint Mary's.

The Huisking Center Classroom

The Huisking Center Classroom has seating and individual tables for 24 students and may be scheduled with the Registrar for regular classes. Groups and individuals may also reserve it for meetings and trainings, but clsses always have priority.
