CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. - Saint Mary's golfers Kelsey Conkright and Summer Stillson were among the 1,011 women's collegiate golfers across all of NCAA and NAIA to earn Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholar status for the 2017-18 academic year.
In order to qualify for the recognition, a student-athlete must have an overall grade point average of 3.50 or higher (on a 4.00 scale) for the entirety of their collegiate career and compete in a minimum of 10 rounds during the year while also being of high moral character and in good standing at their school.
The pair were two of eleven student-athletes from Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association programs to garner the recognition this year. Conkright and Stillson each played in all 15 competitions and 22 rounds of golf for the Belles in 2017-18.
It is the third WGCA All-American Scholar honor for Conkright while it is the first such recognition for Stillson.
