POWELL, Ohio - The Saint Mary's cross country team wrapped up their season with a 29th place finish at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Race at Liberty Park on Saturday.
Hope, who is ranked No. 12 nationally, won the regional race with a score of 88. Calvin edged out Allegheny for second place as the Knights had a team score of 113 to the Gators' 117. The Belles had a team score of 846 for their 29th place finish.
Adele Edmonds beat out a runner from Defiance by two-tenths of a second as she crossed the finish line in a time of 24:53.5 for 113th overall and 113 points toward the team score. Anna McClowry turned in a time of 26:00.0 for 163rd place overall and 161 team points.
Maura Honan snuck past a runner from Heidelberg by three-tenths of a second to place 179th and earn 176 points after posting a 26:25.3. Katie Glenn ran a 27:30.1 for 204th place and 196 points on the afternoon. Emily Harrast wrapped up the team scoring with 208th place and 200 points after running a 27:38.7.
Fiona Winfrey was not far behind with a time of 27:43.0 while placing 210th. Shanan Hamilton rounded out the field for the Belles with a 29:12.6 to place 231st.
