FREELAND, Mich. - Saint Mary's basketball senior forward Gabby Diamond earned Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Women's Basketball Player of the Week honors for her performance for the Belles last week.
A native of Chicago, Illinois, she was instrumental to the team's 67-57 win over Olivet last week. Diamond led all players with a career-high 29 points while picking up her fifth double-double of the season with 12 rebounds. She also tallied three assists and three steals for the Belles and was 14-of-22 (63.6 percent) from the floor on the night.
The MIAA Player of the Week recognition is the first of her career.
