FREELAND, Mich. - Saint Mary's senior forward Gabby Diamond was one of 12 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) women's basketball players to earn All-MIAA recognition for the 2017-18 season.
A Second Team All-MIAA honoree, Diamond was tied for top honors in total rebounding in conference play for the season with 136 rebounds to average 8.5 boards per MIAA contest. She was fifth in total scoring (207 points) and sixth in points per game (12.9 point per game). Diamond averaged nearly six field goals per game and was third among all MIAA players in made baskets per game. An MIAA Player of the Week this season, she posted more points, rebounds, and assists in conference play as a senior than any other season in her career for the Belles.
It is the first All-MIAA recognition for Diamond. She becomes the 17th player in program history to garner All-MIAA recognition, which is voted upon by conference coaches.
