Kelly Faust has her PhD in sociology from Western Michigan University (2012). Her areas of specialization are criminology and gender/feminism. Since joining Saint Mary's College in 2017 she has taught Sociological Imaginations and (re)designed several criminology courses for the new criminology concentration. Her previous research has focused on issues related to teaching, gender, power, state crime, natural disasters (specifically Hurricane Katrina), and victimization with a social justice lens. Faust just started working with the South Bend LGBTQ Center to prepare a community survey and needs assessment.
