Dr. Dunlap studies and teaches Analytical Chemistry in the department as well as teaching courses for at the introductory level.  His research group focuses on the analysis of degradation products of pharmaceuticals, either in their formulations (pills) or once they reach the environment in natural waters or soils. Students in his group learn how to use complex chemical instruments to identify and quantify these degradation products. Dr. Dunlap also serves as the College Marshal, helping coordinate the important ceremonies of the College, including Commencement.
