Join us as we kick off the 175th anniversary of Saint Mary’s College, in a day of events that celebrate the central aspects of a Saint Mary's education. The special day takes place purposefully on the feast day of Blessed Basil Anthony Moreau.
The three-part celebration begins with Saint Mary’s Serves, a community-wide service project that encourages everyone to get involved. In the afternoon we offer a special liturgy for the day and it all culminates with the annual Moreau dinner.
Registration is requested for all events so please scroll or use the following buttons to get more information and RSVP.
Please direct all questions to the Director of Campus and Community Events, Richard Baxter, at (574) 284-4619 or rbaxter@saintmarys.edu.

Saint Mary's Serves
12:45 p.m. at Regina Hall
Our history reveals one of the most distinctive features of Holy Cross: a commitment to respond to the needs of the time. Join us in carrying this commitment forward by participating in Saint Mary's Serves, a community-wide service project, partnering with the Sisters of the Holy Cross, La Casa de Amistad, St. Margaret’s House, The Food Bank of Northern Indiana, and the Sister Maura Brannick CSC Health Center. Serve alongside students, faculty, staff, and alumnae as we gather to celebrate 175 years, in the spirit of the Sisters of the Holy Cross. The one hour and 75 minute service blitz begins at 12:45 p.m. in Regina Hall.
Your families are welcome to join us in this day of service and celebration. There will be an area with children activities to keep them engaged and having fun!
RSVP by Monday, January 14, 2019
Students who register to serve will be entered into a drawing for special prizes including a class ring, gift cards to the Shaheen Bookstore, and a Saint Mary's branded Vera Bradley bag.

Liturgy: Feast Day of Blessed Basil Moreau

It’s fitting to begin our commemoration of 175 years on the feast day of Blessed Basil Moreau, who played an important role in the establishment of our College. Moreau presented the vision of education that guides us as he exclaimed that "the mind will not be cultivated at the expense of the heart." Join the campus community at 3:30 p.m. at the Church of Our Lady of Loretto, as we gather for a special mass that celebrates Blessed Basil Moreau and the lasting legacy of a Holy Cross education.
Space is highly limited so please RSVP by Monday, January 14, 2019
