Choral Collaborations Celebrates Two Anniversaries January 1, 2014 A collaborative concert will be held on Sunday, March 23 in Church of Our Lady of Loretto to celebrate two anniversaries: the 25th anniversary of the South Bend Chamber Singers and Nancy Menk’s 30th anniversary as conductor of the Saint Mary’s College Women’s Choir. Menk, who conducts both choirs, is a music professor and chair of the Department of Music at Saint Mary's College.

College Students' Ratings of South Bend Improving (WNDU-TV) January 1, 2014 Area college students, including Saint Mary's students, are spending more time in South Bend, with 41% saying they spend 10 hours or more in the city. For many of our students, that's thanks to service hours they perform in schools as tutors and at events like Rebuilding Together where they help low-income residents improve their homes. The scores for South Bend as a city and a positive area to receive an education are also on the upswing.
