On September 17, 1787 one of the most influential documents in the United States’ history was adopted into law. Each year, colleges around the country celebrate the U.S. Constitution on the anniversary of its ratification. A Constitution Day panel discussion will be held at Saint Mary's College on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at 12 p.m. in Stapleton Lounge of Le Mans Hall. Click for a campus map. The event is free and open to the public.
This year’s panel presentation will examine different perspectives and experiences regarding the U.S. Constitution. The panelists are Saint Mary’s student and communication studies major Julia Dunford ’15; Marc Belanger, associate professor of political science at Saint Mary's College; and Brian Pawlowski, deputy chief of staff to South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg. The presentation will be followed by a question-and-answer session.
Michael Kramer, associate professor of communication studies and chair of the Department of Communication Studies, Dance & Theatre, is the host and coordinator of the event. The Center for Academic Innovation is a co-sponsor for the event. Professor Kramer can be reached at mkramer@saintmarys.edu.
