Political science professor Sean Savage offered his perspectives of Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels’ State of the State Address. Did he see signs that the Republican Daniels may be positioning himself as a presidential candidate in 2012? Maybe, says Savage. The Governor’s proposals for education reform would appeal to conservatives here and elsewhere. Daniels proposes sweeping changes, including a broad expansion of charter schools, school vouchers, and limits on teacher union contracts.
