4/1/11 Professor interviewed on proposed casinos in Michigan (WSBT-TV)
Political science professor Patrick Pierce, whose expertise and research includes the politics of legalized gambling, was interviewed for a story about a proposed casino in Benton Harbor. Pierce says studies show that with gambling comes inevitable social problems, including increased crime. "Because the upside (revenue) is so much easier to see than the downside (crime), that's what's going to make it really attractive."
