Belles Shut Out Comets

• Kelsey Kopf and Elizabeth Preister earned an 8-0 win at three doubles.
• Kopf and Maddie Minaudo earn 6-0, 6-0 wins in singles.
• All six singles matches were decided in straight sets.

NOTRE DAME, Ind. - The Saint Mary's tennis team earned a 9-0 win over Olivet in conference competition on Wednesday afternoon.

Kelsey Kopf and Elizabeth Preister made quick work of their match at three doubles as the pair did not drop a game en route to an 8-0 victory. Monica Davy and Megan Davy were 8-2 winners at one doubles, and Maddie Minaudo and Lilly Chamberlin paired up for an 8-1 win at at two doubles.

Kelsey Kopf and Maddie Minaudo were the first players off the court in singles play as Kopf won a 6-0, 6-0 three singles competition while Minaudo earned a 6-0, 6-0 four singles win to clinch the match. Megan Davy dropped just one game in a 6-0, 6-1 win at two singles. Elizabeth Preister prevailed 6-0, 6-2 at six singles, and Lilly Chamberlin picked up a 6-2, 6-0 win at five singles. Monica Davy wrapped up the 9-0 team win with a 6-3, 6-4 win at one singles.

Nicole Becker and Lily Brandt had an 8-0 exhibition four doubles win. Brandt then added an 8-0 seven singles exhibition win, and Becker tallied an 8-2 exhibition win at eight singles.

The Belles (9-4, 3-0 MIAA) travel to Indianapolis on Friday to face off against Ohio Wesleyan at Butler University. The match begins at 4:30 p.m.
