FREELAND, Mich. - Marielle Corbett and Audrey Shannon swept the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Volleyball Player of the Week honors on Monday, October 2. Corbett was named the MIAA Player of the Week while Shannon was selected as the MIAA Specialist Player of the Week.

In that same match, she tallied four service aces and posted a .377 attack percentage. Later in the week, she added 11 kills and five digs in a 3-0 win over Earlham.
Shannon, a junior libero from New Albany, Indiana, set a new MIAA record for digs in a five-set match with 46 in the Belles' win against Adrian. Two nights later, she picked up 17 digs and posted a pair of aces. She averaged nearly eight digs per set, including a 9.20 digs per set average in the win over Adrian, as the team went 2-0.
