BATTLE CREEK, Mich. - The Saint Mary's golf team matched their 337 score yesterday on Saturday as they wrapped up the fall 2011 MIAA season with a third place finish.

Olivet overcame a 15-stroke deficit in the season standings heading into the weekend to win the MIAA women's golf championship. Hope finished ten strokes behind the Comets for second place while the Belles took third. Olivet's Lauren Campbell was the medalist of the two-day season finale as well as the overall season medalist.

Natalie Matuszak continued to lead the way for the Belles. The senior shot an 82 on Saturday to finish the championship round fourth overall with a 159. Janice Heffernan was hot on Mautsazk's heels as the freshman turned in a season-best 83. For the weekend, Heffernan shot a combined 168 and finished ninth individually. Christine Brown was just one stroke behind Heffernan on Saturday with an 84 and a two-day score of 169 for tenth place. All three golfers earned all-tournament team honors for finishing in the top ten.
