9/6/11 SOUTH BEND TRIBUNE: Saint Mary’s College invites the public to join its students on a journey to Cincinnati - to visit the homes of three key fighters of slavery. The bus tour Oct. 14 to 16 will go to the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center, along with the homes of author Harriet Beecher Stowe, who wrote “Uncle Tom’s Cabin;” the Quaker and abolitionist John Ranklin; and John Parker, a black man who fought oppression. The Catalyst Trip is sponsored by the Center for Women's Intercultural Leadership (CWIL).
