Sister Anna Marie was an innovator who was never hesitant about taking a new direction or learning new things to meet the needs of the local situation in the true spirit and philosophy of Father Moreau.

She organized the beginnings and establishment of the Ministry With the Poor Development Office at Saint Mary’s, established and directed the Woman’s Rehab Association for alcoholics while she was in northern California, and initiated an outreach and support program for the poor of St. Bernadette’s Parish in Los Angeles, California. While she lived at St. Bernadette’s she gifted the gospel choir there with her beautiful, operatic voice and was totally involved in the life of the parish.
