Sister M. Amata Miller, CSC
(- February 3, 2007)
Please, join in prayer of thanksgiving
for this Sister of the Holy Cross who
died on February 3, 2007.
Word has been received of the death of Sister M. Amata (Miller) who died on Saturday, February 3, 2007, at 2:30 a.m. in Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, South Bend, Indiana.
Through the years Sister Amata was known as a meticulous and organized person, one dedicated to fine details. During her 18 years as secretary/treasurer of the provincial council in the west she proved to be a master at multitasking before that concept was ever articulated.
This skill served her well when for the next seven years she assumed the office responsibilities of first one and then another very large co-education high school in California where she organized everything, “down to the last paper clip” as she was fond of explaining.
During these years she formed many long-term and valued friendships with both faculty members and students. Family and friends were important to Sister Amata and she nurtured them as precious gifts to be cherished. All considered it to be a privilege to be numbered among her friends.
She now enjoys her eternal friendship with the God whom she served so well. May Sister Amata rest in peace.
Funeral arrangements for Sister Amata are as follows: Reception of the body and Wake on Monday, February 5, 2007, at 4:00 p.m. with the Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, February 6, 2007, at 10:30 a.m. All of these ceremonies will take place in the Church of Our Lady of Loretto.
