FREELAND, Mich. – The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association has named Saint Mary’s forward Erin Mishu its Offensive Player of the Week in women's soccer for games played through September 21.
Mishu, a senior from Knoxville, Tenn. (Knoxville Catholic HS), scored both of Saint Mary’s goals for the week as the Belles split a pair of MIAA contests. She scored the winning goal in Saint Mary’s 1-0 road victory over Calvin, the Belles’ first win over the Knights in 32 meetings dating back to October 1993. She also scored Saint Mary’s only goal in a 2-1 loss to MIAA leader Hope.
Mishu is being honored as Player of the Week for the first time in her career.
