Spark Marketing students

Empowered Influencers! This week-long residential summer program will be themed around empowerment for aspiring young businesswomen. Experience the thrill of bringing an idea to life and then advertising it by becoming a product influencer on social media for something you made on Instagram and TikTok.

Students will learn and engage in hands-on product creation and social media advertising for marketing their self-created and customized business idea, both physically and digitally, in the Saint Mary's College Spark Lab maker space. Students will work with expert faculty while making friends for life. 

Students will have the chance to meet women entrepreneurs in our community and learn how to begin planning the next steps for their own aspiring business. 

Empowered Influencers will:

  • Develop their own idea for a product
  • Determine what its best customer base will be
  • Develop a model or prototype of the completed product
  • Direct their own marketing video(s)
  • Deliver them via social media accounts 
  • Discover how to measure the effectiveness of their work
