Belles Take Second at Carthage Shootout on the Border

BRISTOL, Wis. - The Saint Mary's golf team shot a 320 on Saturday and finished second overall behind host Carthage at the Shootout on the Border at Bristol Oaks Country Club.
Carthage took the team tournament title with a two-day score of 649. Saint Mary's had a two-day total of 652 and finished four strokes ahead of third-place Wisconsin-Whitewater's 656.
Hunter Kehoe won tournament medalist honors for the second consecutive weekend after a 74 on Saturday gave her a 155 for the weekend. Summer Stillson was tied for fifth overall after an 84 on day two gave her a 161. Taylor Kehoe climbed the leaderboard and finished with a share of 16th place after a 78 on Saturday gave her a 168.
Sydney Hruskoci matched her score from yesterday with an 85 to finish in 25th place with a 170. Lauren Read's 84 wrapped up the team score of 320 as the junior had a two-day total of 173 for 30th place overall.
Hannah Finley competed as an individual and moved up thirteen spots as she finished tied for 31st after an 83 gave her a final score of 174. Maggie Sexton, who also competed as an individual, turned in a 95 on Saturday and finished with a share of 46th with a total score of 184.
The Belles return to competition on Saturday and Sunday, September 8 and 9, when they participate in the Hanover Fall Invite.
