History professor talks about his passion for acting (The Observer)

It’s not unusual for students to say they discovered things they didn’t know about themselves while at Saint Mary’s, but how about a professor? Bill Svelmoe, associate professor of history, discovered a love of acting while at the College. Ten years ago, after continually turning down one of his students' requests that he take the male lead in an upcoming play, he said he decided to give it a shot. He’ll perform in the Theatre Program’s production of the tragicomedy "Eurydice" next week.
