About Sarah
Hi there! My name is Sarah Gallagher Dvorak, and I am the Dean of Enrollment Management and Marketing here at Saint Mary's. I'm originally from Pennsylvania but have lived for significant amounts of time in Indiana, Illinois, California, and even Ireland. Prior to my 20-year career in college admissions, I worked in public relations and news production. I have a bachelor's degree in Communication Studies from Saint Mary's College (yes, I'm a proud 1999 alumna!) and a master's degree in Mass Communication from California State University, Northridge.
I'm incredibly excited to have the opportunity to share the Saint Mary's story. As a 17-year-old high school student from Pennsylvania, I knew I wanted to attend a college where I'd have a ton of different opportunities, both academically and extracurricularly, and also a place at which I'd get the kind of personal attention I knew would help me grow. I discovered Saint Mary's, and it was definitely the best decision I ever made. As a student, I was a varsity athlete, sang in the choir, participated in a handful of clubs and organizations (both at SMC and ND), and studied abroad in Ireland for a year. I owe so much to Saint Mary's, and I love that I now get to communicate these benefits to high school students in the hopes that they will discover the kind of incredible experiences and outcomes I did. I look forward to working with many of you and hope to one day welcome you to the Saint Mary's family.
