Travel Information

By Air

Several commercial airlines make travel to campus convenient. South Bend International Airport offers nonstop service on Allegiant, Delta, and United with connections worldwide. Other airport options include Chicago O’Hare International Airport and Chicago Midway International Airport (both are only a couple hours away and are accessible via shuttle from South Bend).

By Car

Interstate 80/90 passes near the Saint Mary's campus making South Bend easily accessible from east or west. Take the Notre Dame/South Bend exit (exit 77).

By Bus

Greyhound and Trailways make regularly scheduled stops at the South Bend International Airport. Coach USA runs an hourly service to and from the Chicago O’Hare and Midway International Airports in Chicago.

By Train

Amtrak makes a regular daily stop in South Bend and in close-by Niles, Michigan. The South Shore Line makes three round trips daily from Chicago’s Millennium Park Station on Randolph Street. 

Hotels

Staying overnight? You can stay on campus at the Inn at Saint Mary’s or the Hilton Garden Inn. South Bend also offers a variety of hotels and accommodations close to campus.
